Measuring Toro for Tuxedo Rental

Hi on behalf of Expert Village I'm Garen Palmer and this is Ritz Tuxedos. Today we are going to talk about the proper way to determine a coat size for a person that needs a tuxedo. This is probably the hardest thing to do because most people don't know what size coat they have and don't really have a coat that they can try on. So, there's couple of things that you can do. The first thing you might want to do is take a chest measurement. This is measured around the chest, just have them lift up their arms a little bit, around the thickest part of the chest, hold it very snug and take that measurement. The second one is called an over arm measurement. And this is with their arms straight down to their sides and you go around and take that measurement also. Those are two good things to do. But, if you have a coat to try on, what you want to do is make sure that there's only couple inches gap in the front here, you don't want it too big (this coat's maybe a little bit big), but not too big, you don't want it too tight so that they can't button the coat. Sleeve length, you want it to come right where the wrist meets the hand, right in there. Shoulders, you don't want too much space in here so that there's a little cave there at the shoulders, but you don't want it too tight so that there's a bulge there on the sides. So, if you don't have a coat to try on, give us a chest measurement, over arm measurement, give us a height and weight and we can make a pretty good guess what we're going to need. If they have a coat on that fits good, and there's a size maybe in the pocket, just tell us what that size is.
