JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So in our intro, it's a six bar intro. And all the bars are the same until the fill kicks in in the last one. As far as the beat breakdown, you're going to have beat one just the kick drum. Now, there's no eighth notes on the hi-hat or the ride or anything like that. There's no time keeping in eighth notes with the right hand or the left hand for that matter. You just have--just all by itself is the kick on beat one. And on beat two you have the hi-hat with the foot, okay. So you get that--that closed sound as opposed to--which is a different sound. So you got one, two. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two. Okay, so just practice that. It's just foot, foot, right, left. One, two. All right? Those are the first two beats. We'll talk about the rest of the sound of the intro in this next clip.
