How to do Bicycles for Calisthenics Exercise

The next exercise I am going to demonstrate is another abdominal exercise called bicycles. What you are going to do is put your hands behind your head again, your feet are going to come off the floor and you are going to twist your body side to side alternating knees. So your right shoulder is going to go toward your left knee, your left shoulder is going to go towards your right knee. I’ll go ahead and demonstrate a couple for you. Keep in mind that when you lift and twist you are going to exhale. When come center you are going to inhale. Lift and twist, exhale. Center. Inhale. Again, always keep your navel pulled into your spine. Go ahead and lie on the mat. Hands behind your head, elbows back. Again, find something to focus on. Both feet off of the floor, 90 degree bend in both knees. Head is going to come off of the floor. Navel to spine. You are going to stay here throughout the entire set. Exhale, twist the right shoulder to the left knee as you extend that right leg away from you. Inhale and exhale. This is a continuous motion making sure that shoulder blade comes up and over.
