How to Clear the Table as a Waiter

Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and we're here at Mickey Quinn's in Seminole, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to be a successful server. It's really important that when your customers are enjoying their meal that you make sure and keep on peeking over to see if they're finished. It's a really scary situation that looks half full or half empty, which ever way you want to look at it and you're not sure whether someone is finished or not. It's also very important to keep your customer's table as clean and tidy as possible. Nothing is worse than being at a restaurant and you have empty glasses from 3 or 4 prior refills just sitting on the table, and you have food baskets here and food baskets there that are empty and you can't stretch out and relax and really enjoy your meal. You want to make sure that you head over to your customer's table, take a peek at things, clear out any unnecessary plates or glasses that are there so that your customer is enjoying their experience in a nice clean table. I'm going to head over to the table and see how my customer's doing and try and clear out as much things as possible. How's every one doing here? Is everyone nice and full? Yeah, everything is pretty much done. Really? So we're all finished with this? Are you all done with this here? Can I get this out of the way? Yes. Wonderful. I'll go ahead and clear these out of the way for you. I'll leave these here. If you're interested in any dessert, I'll come back and take that order for you. Thank you. No problem.
