How to Present Wine Bottles as a Waiter

Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and we're here at Mickey Quinn's in Seminole, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to be a successful server. My table has ordered a bottle of wine. I'm on my way from the bar with bottle of wine. There are few things to have to remember when presenting a bottle of wine. You won't see these tips everywhere, but if you're in a pretty nice restaurant, you'll see that there are some things to do when someone does purchase a bottle of wine. Here's my wine, and I'm going to show you the things that you should remember when you want to present your bottle of wine. Sir, the bottle of Riesling you ordered. Is this it? That's it. Wonderful. I'm going to go and get that open for you. I presented by bottle of wine to my customer. The reason for presenting the bottle of wine prior to opening it is making sure that you placed the correct order of wine for your customer. It would be a really sad thing if you didn't present the bottle of wine, you opened it, you served it, and it's not the wine they ordered. It's really important to present your bottle correctly with the label facing them so they can read it and they can affirm that it is the bottle of wine that they ordered.
