Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and we're here at Mickey Quinn's in Seminole, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to be a successful server. As you can hear, it's really busy in here right now and sometimes the food takes longer than usual. Yes, this is sometimes an issue with the kitchen and it's not always the kitchen's fault. Sometimes it's just too crazy and you can't keep up. As a server, it is my responsibility to keep the customers happy and making sure I'm doing the best I can with customer service. This isn't the time to blame the kitchen or put the blame off on management. You want to just take on as much responsibility on yourself and just say I apologize for your meal taking a long time. Offer the customers something while they wait or see what else you can do. Your job as the server is to make sure that the customer is happy at all times and if they have a request, you want to meet those requests. I'm going to go ahead and let the table know their food is taking a little bit of time and to make sure they're okay. How are we doing here? Just wanted to let you know that your food will be out shortly. How long do you think it's going to take? It shouldn't be anymore than 5 or 10 minutes. I really apologize. I know you've been waiting for your meal. It's really crazy in here right now, but they are working on it and it'll be out shortly. Is there anything I can get for you while you're waiting? Just a refill. I'll get right on that for you. No problem. Thank you. You're welcome.
