How to Handle Customer Complaints

Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and we're here at Mickey Quinn's in Seminole, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to be a successful server. I've already served my food to my table. Periodically, after you've already served the meal, you want to go ahead and check on your table. You don't want to harp on the table. Some tables require a little more attention and want you to stop by a little more often. Some like their privacy and just want to be left alone, but at least once or twice after they've received their meal, make sure that it's okay. You don't want to check back 20 minutes later and they've been sitting their with their meal that they hate. I'm going to go ahead and check on my tables, see how their food tastes, and make sure everything's okay for them. We'll see how it goes. If there is a complaint, this is the best way to handle it. So, how's everybody's meal here? Everything was alright, except my burger is a little too rare. Oh, I apologize. You did order it medium-well, correct? That's not a problem. I'll go ahead and have the chef prepare you a new one. Is there anything I can get you while you wait? No, that's it. Okay. Thanks so much. I apologize for it. We'll get you a brand new out here in just a minute. Thank you. You're welcome.
