How to Play a C# Half-Diminished Chord on the Saxophone

MARIANE NIELSEN: Okay. Once again, just to make things easier, 'cause a half-diminished is really different, beautiful but different. C sharp major 7th. We lower that C to a B to get a dominant 7th. We lower the 3rd from F to E to get minor 7th. Then we lower the 5th to get half-diminished. So it's kind of like a C sharp followed by an E minor triad. So that's probably the hardest one that we're going to look at, in my opinion, for the sharps.
