Washing French Pane Windows

This is Christopher with ExpertVillage.com and I want to take to you about French panes. French panes are really tricky. Sometimes there are a couple of things that will make them a lot easier for you if you go about washing them. The first thing about French panes is that they are always tempered. You can never take a razor blade to French panes, it will scratch them. You always want to use your steel wool. One technique that I do is use my steel wool to clean the glass. I can just take my steel wool and rub it out if it is not filthy dirty and you ca just rub it out with the steel wool but if they are not very dirty and dusty you are going to need to get in there and clean them. It is great to have a squeegee that you can interchange your blades on. They make two different types. This one has seven or eight different types that I can put on. I just snap it out, grab my little trusty, my small one is a little four incher, snap it in there and then I am ready to use the squeegee and I take this and am careful not to drip everywhere, get my window wet. I will have to come in there and wipe the top edge of that and then I will use the pull method and pull straight down on the glass. If you want to get fancy you can even do the swirl method in there but it is easier just to do the pull method down. I am going to wipe the top edge of that.
