This is Christopher Lyman with expertvillage.com and the next thing we are going to talk about is soap. What I like to use and what most professional window washers use is some form of dish soap. I like Lemon Joy. This is in the highly concentrated form. So you won't need as much soap as you would use to wash your dishes. If you've got this bucket halfway full, a few drops is more than enough. If you use too much, your windows are going to streak so you need to be careful on how much soap you use. And I've also been told if you use anti-bacterial soap, it will cause your windows to streak so avoid anti-bacterial soap. And we are going to be washing windows outside today. Here in Utah it is 20 degrees outside currently so what I am using is windshield wash de-icer and depending on how cold it is, you can mix this with water but sometimes I use it straight so that your water doesn't freeze up on the glass. I've also heard of people using stuff that they put in septic tanks. That works just as well.
