Now a Simple Simon Double is a variation on to the Simple Simon Bend that we put on in another lesson and this one has actually got a little bit more strength due to the extra loop in it and it is just a great simple bend that you can put in two ropes. What I am going to do down here is I've got two lines and I am going to go ahead and take my blue line and put a bight in it like this. I am going to take my red line and just go over the top. Now as with a regular Simple Simon we are going to take it under then we are going to take it over both lines, pull out a little more length in case we need some, over both lines and then under both lines. Now I am going to do it one more time I am going to pull it over both lines again and then under and I've got my initial loop going. What I am going to need is I am going to take it and take it back under and create a cross pattern under the bottom side like so, cross it over the top and come back under and through coming out in the same line. As we pull it, if you work it a bit you can see it gets this double knot shape with the single one over here and that's your Double Simple Simon.
