How to Tie a Double Sheet Bend

Now a Double Sheet Bend is a great knot to put in two ropes especially if the two ropes are of dissimilar size. So once again the Sheet Bend is not all that great and the Double Sheet Bend is not a great rope if you are going to put a lot of weight on the line but it still is a nice pretty bend that you can put in ropes. So if you will look down here at the table you can see that I have two lines coming in of dissimilar size and I am going to go ahead and put a loop into this one right here. Now what I am going to do is take my working end of my small line and it is going to come through the loop and it is going to go under both pieces of my other line. Now I am going to take it and I am going to make a complete loop once again. There we go. Now I have got a good loop going on here and then I take it and run it back through the standing line here to create my Double Sheet Bend.
