Attaching Hawaiian Flowers to Bachelorette's Feather Boa

PAMELA YAGER: So now we're ready to apply our first flower. And the placement of the flower on the boa is very important because you want to have it just in a certain area where it becomes--sort of a decorative area. You want to see the feathers in this part and then you want to start the flowers at about here. That's about 12 inches or 10 inches from the bottom. So we're going to do that on both sides. But we're first going to put our first flower there as our marker. And I simply--again, I have the ribbon through the flower and I have one piece that's coming out of the front and one out of the back. I'm going to just bring it around the back of it as tightly as possible there around the feather boa, and the feather boa has threaded rope kind of in the middle which keeps the feathers on. You can feel that you want to get to that base and pull the feathers out from around where you're maybe tying up with the ribbon. I'm going to bring the ribbon through the different petals of the flower and tie it in the back. We're going to tie it in the back for this one. And we're just going to do a simple knot like that and we're going to keep the ribbon long and that's how it just lays right there on the top. You can always trim it later. But I like it when it's long like that at first, and then we can trim it later and that looks nice. That's how it looks. And we're going to do the same thing on the other side in exactly the same place. And then we'll be ready for our next step.
