Learn About the T987 Hand in Omaha Hi-Low Poker

Let's talk about another hand that you would talk about in Omaha high but in high low you want to dodge it and I'll explain why. We have ten, nine, eight, seven now in Omaha. This is known as wrap around straight draw cause they have four sequential cards and since we use two cards from our starting hand and three from the board, if the flop comes out and gives me an open ended straight, draw then I have a lot of outs and I want to stay in the hand. That it's Omaha but in Omaha high low these four cards are in the middle and that's a problem. It's possible I can win the high but if I do win the high most likely you're going to have at least two low cards to contend with. With the two, low cards are out there and river is yet to come. I'm going to worry about chop the pot. In addition, often I'm going to be an under dog to the high and I'm almost always going to be an under dog to the low even though eight, seven can qualify for a low hand. So even though this is a really good Omaha hand, I want to chill out and throw it away in Omaha high low even if it's ten nine, eight, seven double suited. Which I would be fallen all over myself to play in regular Omaha but in Omaha high low I got little chance at taking the low and I'm an under dog to all the rest of the high cards.
