How to Play a 154 Root Chord Voicing

Hi, I'm Mike Lais and on behave of Expert Village this is Piano Chord Voicing. Here is going to be another few examples of chord progressions. We did the one, four, five. But if we just flip that and do a one, five, four it is going to sound something like this. All I am doing there; we are in the root position for one chord, so we are going to go one in root position which was one, three, five. And then we are going to go to the five chord in first inversion. Then we are going to go to the four in second inversions and then back to the root position. It is just that simple. Again, if we were to not do the inversions it is going to sound something like this. Again, it is just blocked and it has a different feel to it. Whereas if you want to be a little smooth about it you want to do root position, first inversion, second inversion, and root position. That is a one, five, four, root position.
