ALICE MONSAERT: In this series, I'm taking a combination of several of the hot leg exercises we've already done and putting them together. So we're going to be combining lunges, plie, reverse lunges, and the step-ups that you've already learned. So this is a jam-packed exercise sure to give you those really, really hot-looking legs in that little black dress you're going to be wearing. So we're going to start first with a lunge, and then you're going to turn and open into a plie squat, and then you'll be facing the opposite way and doing a lunge with your back foot on the bench, coming around the same way to do a plie squat, and when you face the bench, doing a step up. Remember, step up is just a push and a tap of the foot down to the floor. So we step back, lunge, lift, plie squat, change the lunge, turn to the side for a plie, and do a step up. One of the safety features is as you turn from position to position, lift this foot up off the bench so you don't grind your foot into the bench and do any damage to the knee. So a couple of reps on each side, you will feel your legs not only getting hot but burning as well.
