How to Make a Monkey in Balloon Folding: Part 1

Hi, I'm Jeremy here on behalf, on behalf of Expert Village. Going to teach you the next design, which is a monkey. Now the monkey actually has a lot of the designs- a lot of the things we talked about, except for maybe the tulip twist. Once again, I'm going to quick on this. If you need to stop and rewind, that's fine. The first thing we're going to do is about a two inch bubble and a one inch bubble. We're going to make that into a barrier. This is actually going to be for the monkey's ears. Then, that two inch bubble you started with, we're going to tie it into the balloon so we have another two inch bubble. Put the end of the balloon inside of there. That just helps keep it from coming apart. And we're going to go ahead and make another barrier - one inch bubble. And then this next bubble, if you make it only slightly larger than two inches, it really makes a good size for the face; you can twist it into the first barrier. Now, we want the neck to come out of the center here. So what we're going to do is we're going to pinch the balloon, so there's no air in it, and we're going to pull it down. And as soon as you let your fingers go, the air tries to go back up into and usually holds it right in place. And now you have the neck coming out of the center. Now, we're going to go down about one inch, and then make a one inch bubble, which is going to be another barrier. That'll be for part of the neck. We're going to go out and make the arm now. Give that one about three inches. Make another barrier. You go down about three or four inches, make another barrier. Now in this case, I've inflated the balloon more than I needed. Now, my dentist will hate to hear this, but I usually pinch the edge of the balloon and actually bite it. Now, I'm going to disclaimer here: it's not always the best thing to bite balloons. The snip-it also works very well. And realize there is some danger of it exploding. I haven't had it happen to me yet, but I don't need any lawsuits. And we have one arm and the head, so we're going to go ahead and make the other arm and the tail. Actually, we'll go ahead and save that one for the next part of the video.
