All About Twisting Etiquette for Balloon Folding

Hi I'm Jeremy here on behalf of Expert Village and I am here today to talk a little bit about how to blow up a balloon and tie it off, the very basics of getting a balloon started. I am going to go ahead and take a two sixty balloon. The first thing you do is to get it on the pump, to do this you put the edge of the lip over the end of the pump and then roll the edge of the balloon down over it. Now once you have it down pinch it between your thumb and fore finger and you blow it up. Always leave some balloon on the end if you are going to do any twisting on it. Now if you just want one balloon that is fine but for twisting you need at least a couple inches on the end for doing any other designs. Now in order to tie the balloon we let a little bit of air out of the end and then wrap the end of the balloon around your two fingers. Then it goes around the back and what you are going to do is you take your thumb and push it through. In doing this it allows a little groove to push it through and it is a lot easier than trying to use one finger to tie a balloon. Once you have it tied you got to make sure that you twist it from the right side. Now when I say twist from the right side you should always start from the end that you tied and toward the end where you left uninflated balloon that way when you twist you notice it starts pushing air farther and farther out. The more you twist the balloon it pushes farther and farther out and if you start from the other side it will pop your balloon prematurely.
