How to Set Up a Juggling Stage

Hi, this is Jeremy with Expert Village. I'm going to go ahead and talk to you a little bit about stage presence and how to set up a stage in order to do a performance, either with juggling, but basically with any type of performance where you're using props, juggling or balloons. Now, one thing, you got to make sure that there's not so much going on that people aren't watching you. You're the focus of the show, basically. Make sure that you have a place for all your props, either, if you are outside or in a small space, you can use a duffel bag and have everything in there or a small chest and have everything in there. If you want a little bit fancier, you can build a prop table where your clubs hang on, and you can keep stuff inside of it and set it up that way. Make sure that if you're on a stage that the lighting doesn't shine right directly in your eyes, especially if you are looking up while juggling because you're going to end up dropping, and it's going to look like it's your fault even though the fact that you had 2000 watts in your eyes does play a factor. If you're outside, try and make sure that neither you nor your audience is looking at the sun. Try and keep the sun to your right hand side or left hand side and make sure that your always, if you are juggling, if you ever want to turn, it's like if you're juggling rings, and you want them to see, juggle so your back is towards the sun. So, you're never looking at the bright light blinds you and then you drop things.
