Hi! I am Joe Palanzo from the World Wide Kenpo Karate Association in conjunction with Expert Village. This technique is called thrusting solute, and what we trying to learn here is how to avoid get kicked by a straight kick. When the kick comes in, the last thing you really want to do is move straight back, because then you are in line with all the rest of his weapons, so you might get out of the way of that but you hit with all this. So what we are going to do is move slightly off line to here, so he is going this way, and give this target more opportunities, as I like to say. Okay, so we are going to drop back and we are going to an outside downward block to try to control the direction and have this hand checking. As we kick with our right front kick to his lower portion of his body, our left hand comes up into a guard position, striking this way. This sets up the next shot, which is a heel palm, right to the head. Okay so once again thrusting solutes, we evade the weapon, we kick altering his height, we blast him with a heel palm, that is called thrusting solute,
i could like nver remember some of this stuff in a real fight lol
