How to Juggle One Club

Hi Jeremy here on behalf of Expert Village. We're going to go ahead and start teaching you how to juggle clubs. Now the pattern is the exact same as you learned with balls. If you haven't learned balls yet I would suggest you go back and learn those first. The clubs, the only difference is while you're throwing them, you're going to get a spin in them. Other than that, the pattern is exactly the same. There's a little bit you need to learn how to hold the club. I personally hold it with my middle finger and my thumb, rest in the cradle along my hand with my pointer finger down. And when you add more clubs in there it makes it a little bit easier to hold both of your clubs. You hold it at about where the center of balance is. The center of balance is a little bit farther on this side. But because it's uncomfortable to hold it farther up you hold it as far as it is comfortable towards the center of balance. And that gives you a lot more control on the throw. Because just like with balls, with these, if you throw them wrong, if you don't have them toward the center of balance a lot of times you'll end up either going back towards yourself or you'll end up throwing them out. Once you have that, what you do is you're going to use your elbow and your wrist and you're going to go ahead and rock it up from the outside and with your wrist you're going to go ahead and create that flip motion. Go ahead and catch it. Try to catch it the same way as you are holding it with your first hand and you throw it back and forth, make sure you catch on the outside, scoop it down, throw on the inside. And you can notice, my elbows aren't actually moving all that much. It's mostly my forearm and my wrists.
