How to Keep an Art Studio Organized

MATT CAIL: Hello. I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to organize and set up and tame your own art studio. The last thing in setting up your drafting table for your art studio is some of this nice little organizational compartment perks. Not all tables have this but if it comes down between tables that have some additional organization help for you versus ones that don't, definitely go towards the ones that do. These tables will have some of the following. They have a nice tray at the front where you can have some things like your really go-to, common stuff. You have that pen you just love drawing with or just perfect for outlining. This is going to be where those really valuable art implements you're going to have, right at your disposal, literally, right at your fingertips. Also, you can sometimes have organizational compartments near the side of a table. So you can take a look at this, where you can like pull up a little thin plastic covering and here you go. You got a ton more of your artistic supplies right here. Maybe you even have things like glue or a tape in these little compartments where, again, it's not like a big mix of stuff all thrown together. It's nice. It's organized. It's ready there. It's going to save you time. I mean, over a year, this could save you hours of hunting around for that last special golden pen you have to have for that latest art project. Lastly, sometimes you also can get compartments underneath the table and these are really great because, oftentimes, they'll come stacked several on top of the other and you can just stick a whole lot of stuff in these. I like to stick actually some of my most valuable pens in here and I even have them organized by color scheme and type. You don't certainly have to go that far but it's very nice to be able to have these here and not necessarily in the original cardboard boxes that they came in. They are very easily accessible which saves me time which means more time for art.
