Types of Art Studios

MATT CAIL: Hello. I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to organize and set up and tame your own art studio. The very first question you want to ask yourself when setting up your art studio is what type of art do you actually want to do. Different types of art and forms of art are going to require different things in terms of space and also furniture items you're going to be using. For example, do you just want to do a bunch of drawing arts or perhaps art where you're gluing or cutting out pieces of paper? Or would you rather do a lot of painting art where you're going to have lots of brushes and big canvasses that you're going to need to be painting on? Or perhaps you're just going to want to do, I don't know, some interesting very crazy arts and crafty type projects in your art studio. These type of questions are very important. So, before you rush headlong into going out to your art supply store and buying tons of paints and you go home and you're like, "Hey, I want to do lots of pencil art." stop for a moment and ask yourself whether or not you may actually want to just focus your art studio space and the decisions you're going to make in terms like one form of art or if you want to have multiple options like having lots of painting and pencil options all in your art studio.
