Learn the Rule Variations in Baseball Poker

The game of baseball in poker has a number of rules variations that you can implement. One of them that is typical for baseball is buying your wild cards. Now this can be done in a couple of different ways and I'll talk about those in a bit. But let's go ahead and show you how that works we deal 2 down cards to everyone and I'll start doing the up cards. A 5 comes off and then a 9 comes off at this time if you are playing pay for your wild cards the dealing seize its. In the person with the 9 they want that card to be wild it has to match the pot. This time there are 4 white chips in the pot so they have to put out 4 white chips, now there are a couple of ways that you can play this. One rule is you pay for your wild cards to make them wild if you don't pay for them then they are played as face value. Another way to play is you pay for your wild cards to make them wild if you don't pay for them you must fold. Then the final question to ask is for the pay for the wild cards rule do you have to pay for your down wild cards, your down 3s and 9s or is it just those that come face up. So you will have to decide those questions when you name the game when it's your turn to deal and say baseball. If we go around we see that a 3 comes off, 3s are also wild and this player if they wanted to be wild must match the pot. So where as the first person who caught the 9 only had to pay 4, this person has to match the pot and pay 8. So you see how the pot rises when you play this variation and we'll talk a little more about that in the next segment.
