Hi! This is Elise McMahon for expertvillage and in this video series we’re talking about how to travel with your dog. If you would like to find out more about my services you can visit my web site at canineheadstart.com. So in this first clip we’re talking about the benefits of traveling with your dog. Whether we’re talking about a half day trip or two week trip, there are benefits to both the dog and the person of bringing your dog with you. One of the benefits for the person is you get the company of your dog that is one of the most obvious benefits and of course those of us who own dogs know the physical and the mental benefits of having company with your dog, having the dog alongside you and another benefit is that you do not have to pay for someone to take care of your dog while you are away on vacation or gone for a day or two. For the dog the benefit is reciprocal that they get to be with you and it’s also that they do not get left alone either in a kennel which is sort of the least desirable option or if you have somebody come and home sit your dog which is less stress on your dog but again you have got more control of what’s going on with your dog and you can feel more secure if the dog is actually with you.
