Sports Massage for Football Neck Injuries

ALEXSON ROY: So what we're going to do next is we're going to continue with our condition with football-related injuries and trauma to the neck. So before, we kinda stretch the 12 vertebra back down and the seven that are kinda from your clavicle up to your neck, back up. So we're going to actually do a little effleurage this time, okay, and we're going to kinda push the shoulders down and out, okay. Because also what happens is if you have--if all of these collides and you start having problems with your neck, your shoulder's going to start to get tight as well. So we want to push everything out to the AC joint, okay, which is your clavicle, acromion joint. So it's right here, okay, right here on the cliff of where your shoulders are. So we just going to kind of press down and out, okay, real firm. Don't try to press too hard. It's not really, really deep. It's just kinda, just like a form. Press out towards the AC joint. Okay? Push down first and then out. You want to kinda like feel where you are. Press down, and then out, okay. You can come back also from the AC joint, but the main part of this massage and stretch is pressing everything out and away from the neck, out and away from the neck.
