How to Embellish Party Invitations

Now it's time to embellish the invite. What I'm doing is I'm just going around once again to make sure some of the corners are cleaned and we're going to be embellishing it. Now I don't want to mess up my table, so I usually put down a piece of paper or something because I'm going to be working with glitter glue. I made my border in pink so that's what I'm going to do is use some pink glitter glue. Depending on what your colors are. I made the guest of honor's name in sort of a pink color and so I made the border also in a pink to sort of tie in those colors. We also have a lot of purple on the invitation. I didn't want to use purple because we already had so much purple on the invitation that I wanted to make it pink to stand out. So I am going to use my glitter glue. Again you can get this at a craft supply store and sometimes they come in packages with lots of different colors. I found that when you're applying glitter glue you should probably cross your fingers and hope that it comes on correctly. If you keep it even pressing on the glitter glue as you're putting it on, then it usually comes out in more of a straight line and I have a little border there that I can follow. I'm just going around and putting it on. It's kind of funny how the glitter glue when you're putting it on and you see I had a little difficulty on that corner, it's not a problem because it's still wet, so I can just (I'm going to turn it around again here) and we're going to continue pressing You can just pick it back up where that line is and because it's wet, one strip of glitter glue kind of just folds over or blends into the other because it's still wet and we're going to continue around till we join where we started. Now, it takes quiet a long time for the glitter glue to dry. So we're going to put that over on the side and let that dry for at least half an hour or 40 minutes. If you have lots of pets in your house like I do, I have dogs and cats that like to say, hey what's going on? I actually use, it's a cover for outdoor entertainment, it's a screened in little cover that you can put over your dishes and I use those to put over my craft projects so that my cats don't get at them. That's also very handy and you hope that they hair doesn't get in it because with the glitter glue it does also get little hairs. So I'm going to use this over here for it to dry. I actually did one earlier and this is the way it comes out. It's very fun and festive, just a little bit of glitter glue on the sides, it makes it really sparkling, it makes it look really cute I think so. And we could use any sort of other colors if we'd like to embellish it. You know even after it's dried, you go hey I'd like to put some more on there, go ahead, you could always add extra stuff to it and have fun with it. Now we're ready for our next step.
