Alright now we're going to put the muscle into the cleaner. The turbine alright. Actually the assembly of the turbine is very simple and Hayward has gone out of their way to make it as easy as possible. Back in old designs you could put it in backwards and everything looked good. I've seen pros do it. They put it in the wrong way, looks good, assembles right, it just doesn't work because the veins, these parts right here are slightly turned in and suction is what makes it drive so if it's the wrong way it just simply won't go. Well they solved that problem two ways. One is the word R for right is right onto the unit. Now, the only other thing to do the turbine is some turbine bearings which we'll show you here. Alright. These are the turbine bearings, obviously new and there's not a lot of checking to do with them, but make sure they spin nice and easy, and all we're going to do here, and you'll notice that right here there's a little notch. Ok. This is important. The notch is going to go right into a notch on either side. Now, you want the bearing shields to be out which is a little counterintuitive because you think they'd want to be shielded from the debris on the inside but that's not so. What you want to do is just put it over on here and spin it around. Slippery suckers. And then do the same thing on the other side, bearing shield out protecting from debris that's on the inside of the cleaner, and just sort of spin it around. Ah, beautiful. Ok, now there she goes. Notice also it's an offset pan meaning that the legs will move oppositely. It's not a dead axle like you see on a car. So all, all we really have to do to really make this complete is to actually set it into the cradle. Ah! That's it! Nope! Actually one other quick step. The other thing that you have to do here is, now this will be really difficult to see but take my word for it, there's a little notch here ok, and you're just spin it until it, hear that, clicks right home ok. That's so that the outer part of the bearing doesn't spin when the inner part of the bearing does. See I'm holding this in place, well that's actually what's happening with the notch. It's real important. People forget that step. So here it goes spinning. Beautiful! Look at that, on it's own. So again, you put it in, it's off, you want to spin it. Alright, very good, and now your turbine is in and ready for the next step of assembly.
