Removing the Base Plate of a Hayward Aquabug

Now we have got the bottom assembly taken off. Now we need to get a little bit deeper inside of her. So the next thing that we have to do is take off the base plate. Now this part is the base plate with the rollers and you have got the bumper assembly on here also. Easy to do is to is take the, is to take your screw gun here and your going to removing these six screws to free it up. Now what you?re looking for here after you get it off. Now be real careful because this part is no longer attached. You want to turn your cleaner upside down and put it aside. This part over here what your looking for is to make sure that there are no cracks and that the bumper assembly swivels freely inside of it. Because if she gets caught inside of a ladder she can actually turn inside of it. So when your doing your inspection there and the next is to make sure that these six screws are removed and placed safely away. Then we can take this part and put it aside. Then we can get really deep inside the Aqua bug.
