Hi, my name is Mary and I'm with expertvillage.com. Today we're going to concentrate on the forelegs and how to massage the joints and the leg properly. So with an animal, you can do it starting standing but as I've mentioned before, this dog doesn't like to stand a whole lot. Your first thing you're going to do is a long, slow stroke, all the way down to the very tips. Now some animals don't like to have their paws touched very much so if you have a dog that really hates it, then just kind of do the front of the paw. It's good to try to do that though because it will get them used to it, make life simpler for your groomer or yourself later on when you're trying to clip their nails. Then you're going to go and do that sponge stroke we talked about before. Right at the tip of the joint, in and out very slowly, you're going to do that all the way down the leg and that is how you do your forelegs.
