Massaging Around a Dog's Spine

Hi, I'm Mary with expertvillage.com and we're going to talk about different techniques for your dog's spine this time. Your spine, the dog's spine, your spine, is of course one of the one things you really have to be careful of and also that you have to take care of. There are two basic ways to do the spine. The first is called a thumb walk where you go on either side of the spine and you very gently walk your thumbs down, starting from the base of the skull. As you do this, your dog may suddenly shiver, shake its coat a little bit. It doesn't mean it's bothering them. What it means is that unlike human beings, animals can actually adjust their spine by themselves. This is pressing a little bit on nerves that makes your dog want to go oooh, oh that feels good.
