Hi, my name is Mary Norton. I do pet massage. I'm at www.petmassage.com and I'm here with expertvillage.com. We're going to talk today about dog massage. Pet massage, but we're going to use a dog so if you want to know why it's a good idea to learn pet massage, the basic answer I can give you is that it will help your animal and it will help your animal in the same way that a human massage helps you. The first thing is what is pet massage? Well, pet massage is exactly what it sounds like. It is taking the techniques that you use on human beings and adapting it for the physique of animals and you can do this on dogs, you can do it on cats, there's equine massage for horses but that is a whole different thing than using it for small animals. You could also probably use it for ferrets and other small animals too but we're going to work with a dog right now. The benefits as I said are basically the same as it is for human beings. You will help all of their internal organs, you will help their joints, their muscles, and help calm them if you happen to have a very nervous animal.
