Welcome to Expert Village. This is Fran Dukehart. In this segment we are looking again to establish a neutral spine. One way to practice finding the spine that is in the neutral position is to use the ball to bounce on it. Once you feel this bouncing begins to become fairly aerobic, then you will find yourself being able to stabilize by swinging your arms in and up, and being in a standing position that is neutral. So, let us practice that. First we are being seated, swing the arms, feeling stable feet, feet feel grounded; they are hip width apart. Once you feel that you are ready, you will swing and come up to neutral. It feels wonderful. You understand and sense the center being lifted, you feel the arms extended from the elbow and the ribcage. There is lots of space you are growing in to; from the rib cage down into the knee again you are lengthening. The toes are spreading wide just like the hands, and you reaching up. From my center to your center…Namaste.
