Scraping Sides to Smooth Surface for Weatherstripping

On behalf of Expert Village, my name is George Engle with Mr. Fix-It Handyman here in Miami, Florida and today I am going to be showing you how to install weather stripping on the exterior of your garage door. We are back. I have a little scraper here you can pick up at your local home supply store. It is mostly used for paint but I am going to use it to take this rough edge off because when the new weather stripping goes on, we want it to sit right. We don't want it to stick out or make the trim sit uneven. So we are going to kind of clean up the area with a scraper, go all the way down with it taking off all of the excess paint, plaster or whatever is sticking up that isn't flat. Some of this can be kind of tough depending on how long it has been on there but keep persisting, it comes off.
