JEANETTE WHITE: Hi. I'm Jeanette White for Expert Village. And today, we're going to be doing log cabin, but not the traditional way that our grandmothers did. We're going to do it with paper piecing. It's a lot of fun and it's really accurate, and you can do this very, very quickly. Our end result is going to look something like this. And as we look at in the previous segment, log cabin can be put together in any number of configurations. Because we have a line going diagonally across from corner to corner with all of the darks on one side and the lights on the other, we can put these together as a big diamond, as a zigzag. The possibilities are just endless. So these are a lot fun to put together. We're going to start out by drawing out the design of the log cabin that we want. Now, you could have this be only two strips going out or you could have it be five or six. This particular one has three strips that radiate out from this center block right here. And as you can see, I've drawn a line across here because everything on this side is dark and everything on this side is light. This particular copy has done it for you. We have labeled this A, B, C, D, E and so on, so you know which way you're going. In our next segment, we will begin to actually put the pieces down and sew them.
