You are now an expert on riding a normal sized unicycle. But what are your options out there? You have a bunch of different options. When I started out unicycling I had this size tire. A lot smaller, a lot harder to ride. They actually sell a lot smaller size tires then this one, they're even harder to ride. This is the one I upgraded to, a larger tire. This thing will cost you about $150, this one's about $100. Torquer is definitely the best brand to buy in a unicycle. The reason for the bigger tire is you have to do less rotations with your feet to actually go farther. So, it's a lot less stress on your legs because your legs are the breaks and the gas for your unicycle, there's no chains for it. But, there is one unicycle that is chain driven, it's called a giraffe unicycle and these things are monsters. They are very, very tall. The seat is usually about this high, maybe even higher, I don't even know how high you can see here. Where your seat is, there is actually a chain that comes down from the pedals, your feet go down to the pedals, then there's a chain that goes down all the way down to the tire. It's weird because that chain acts like a bigger tire. So a lot of these giraffe unicycles have a smaller tire but because of that long chain it's easy on your legs because it's chain driven. Another one of the unicycles is actually a bi-unicycle. It has two wheels on top of each other just like this and then it comes up to the seat. When you're peddling it's really weird because you peddle forward and it's pushing the tire backwards. It's a trip on your mind, you have no idea what's going on. You peddle forward, you're going backwards. You peddle backwards you're going forwards. It's really hard to wrap your mind around that. So, if you're going to do a double wheel one, I would actually spring for the triple wheel one that has another wheel on top so that when you're pushing forward it's pushing this one backwards and pushing the very bottom tire forward. So when you're pushing forward its going forward, when you're pushing backward it's going backward. There are a lot of unicycles out there. Here are just a few of them. You go online, figure out what you want. EBay is a good place to go. Bicycle stores usually have a lot different unicycles. Another really fun one, if you're extreme and dangerous and you want to do this, there's called mountain unicycling. It comes with a big, knobby, tire right here. It's huge. It comes out about this far, it's got really padded seats. You'll see these guys jumping off rocks; they're hauling balls down these mountains just jumping off from peak to peak. They're crazy. You got to go online, check it out on YouTube. See these mountain unicyclers. You will never believe it. After doing your rocking in the back yard it's going to entice you to go out and get a mountain unicycle and have a lot of fun. Again, I am Kevin Barrett with Expert Village. I am so happy that you stayed and watched my video on how to ride a unicycle. Let's go over exactly what we've learned. We've learned everything about this unicycle, all the different types of unicycles out there, what may be the best for you. Remember, do your rocks, learn your steps before you actually move on to doing any more than you should be. Again, remember, all your safety equipment must be worn when doing this because, take it from me, it hurts a lot when you fall. You're going to fall, it's going to hurt. Please wear all your safety gear, be safe, have fun, and join me next time for my next videos on unicycling, stilt jumping, and all the other ones I come up with.
