Writing a Bassline

Hi, my name is Dalton, and we’re gonna be writing a bassline using the chords E major and F# minor. First off we need to figure out our notes and our chords and our scales. The first one is going to be E, and we want to find the notes in the E major scale. The next one is F#, and an F# minor scale consists of...those are our notes in F# minor. Say we have a chord progression that consists of this (E, F#,) all we’d have to do is take note of the rhythm and which note is being played and we can play any note within the scale when that chord is being played. So if we had that progression, we could write the bassline as this. Just like so.
