How to Paint a Head with Watercolors

JOHN R. JUNGER: The first thing I'm going to do is put the head where it belongs. Now, the head is an egg really, so I'm going to make an egg and then we have a kind of a neck thing. And after that, I think I would like light coming this way so what I'm going to do is fade this off a bit. So, that this is lighter than that. And then, I'm going to do the hair, hopefully, right. Now, there's basic hair but don't worry about it because when it dries, I can always go over it and use a background that's black. And so, what I'm going to do now is the light source is coming this way; therefore, under the eyes, it's going to be darker. Under the nose, it's going to be darker. Top lip is going to be darker.
