How to Paint Ocean Scene with Watercolors

JOHN R. JUNGER: Anyway, on this lighthouse, we have the light itself. And then, topping the light, we have a finial of some kind, and they generally differ but I'm going to make a classic finial. So, there's my lighthouse. There's my forest. Now, I'm worried about the water. So what I'm going to do is just put some wash down so it looks different from the white. And what I'm going to do is use a graded wash from the bottom up this time. And then, I'm going to use my small brush, and I'm going to put waves in. Now, at the bottom, the waves are going to be larger. As we go toward the top, the waves are going to be smaller.
