Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making this very cute little headband. I chose this little heart fabric, I thought it was really cute particularly for Valentine's Day but it's actually for a little girl. Any day of the year little hearts are very cute. I am doing this again, for my daughter and her head is about 20 inches. That's the length that I have cut my fabric and then I'm going to cut the elastic a little shorter. So I cut my fabric and I went about, well let's see about how wide I went. I went about 4 inches across. So 4 inches across and 20 long. You can go as wide or as narrow as you want. If you want it to be thinner than this that is certainly fine or thicker and then the length will be according to the circumference of the head that you're going to make it for. So you just take your fabric, you take your strip, you fold it in half like that and then you can take some pins and go ahead and pin it just to hold it in place while you're sewing it. What we're going to do is sew it, then turn it. So you're folding it inside with the right sides together like that so that the pattern is in the inside. We're going to sew it so that the stitching is in the inside of the headband and then we're going to turn it right side out and put in the elastic. Okay so go ahead and finish pinning it and get your sewing machine ready and I'll see you at the next clip and I'll show you how to sew it.
