How to Pin Handles to a Bag

Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are now going to put our straps on our bag. It's very simple, you just determine how long you want your straps to be. I went ahead and cut some strips that were about 14 inches by about an inch and a half in width, you cut 2 of them. Then we're just going to mark a spot inside the bag, we're going to mark where we're going to sew them with a pin. (So let me see if I can reach around here and get my pins.) Okay, but you want them to be even, so go ahead and take your tape measure and measure, I'd say about 2 inches and this is the middle of the strap and you can go ahead and pin it, you can pin it from the inside out. And then go ahead and measure 2 inches on the other side, but kind of in the middle. Go ahead and pin it and then we're going to sew that. So you do it on one side and then you match it on the other side. Put a pin through. This is a very simple project, again it's one that you kids can help you with. They can certainly help you design it by picking out the colors that you use. Okay, so now that we have it pinned like that, marked where we want to sew it, we're going to go ahead and get our machine ready and sew it. So I'll see you at the next clip.
