Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making our little pillow. Now this pillow, I'm going to make this other one pretty much the same size as this and this is about 9x11. So I'm going to go ahead, I actually went ahead and cut a piece of fabric to sort of freehand and it's about 11, 12x20. So now what I'm going to do is just trim it up to the size that I want. So I'm going to go ahead and measure it out and I think my width is pretty good because you do want to leave about an inch of a margin around because we're going to go ahead and sew around it, so you're going to want to leave some room. Then we're going to turn it, we're going to sew it inside out, we're going to turn it back right side out. So this is about 10, so that's good. This is a little long, it's about 11. I'm just going to clean it up a little bit. So I'm just cutting it nice and even now, just a straight line. If you want to go ahead and mark it with pins, or just with a little, if you want to measure. A good way to know where you want to cut is to go ahead and measure the width that you want all the way down and go ahead and mark it either with a pen or pin. I tend to just freehand cut mine, I make a lot of these so I'm pretty good at eyeballing them. By all means if you want to go ahead and measure, do that and you can measure where you want and just follow the pins all the way. So we're going to move that out of the way. Then again, there's just a little piece here and then I'm going to turn it around this way and clean it up here. We're not going to see any of these because we're going to sew it, once again we're going to sew it inside out, so that's going to be all cleaned. I'm going to finish cutting this and then in the next clip I'm going to show you how to sew it. One more thing, for this edge, you do want to go ahead and sew all the way around, you don't want to cut corners and keep this folded if that's how you cut your fabric because it's not going to sit the right way. So you want to go ahead and cut that so that they're 2 separate layers and we're going to sew that side together, like that. So now that that's cut, stick around, I'll see you in the next clip and I'll show you how to sew it.
