Oh, hey, thanks for taking the time to spend learning about how to make a professional looking video. Time flies when you're having fun, and it really flies when you're editing videos. You've learned a lot and thanks for hanging in there. The most important thing I can stress is, learn everything you can about your camera. Also remember digital video is totally dependent on great lighting, so don't hesitate to get some lights and light your scene well. Remember a composition, it's really important. Move things around, move people around to get the scene looking exactly the way you need it to look like. And audio, I can't stress enough. Monitor your audio when you're recording, make sure you got some good mics. And one thing I didn't tell you about audio is, avoid the bathroom syndrome. What does that mean? A lot of people use their camera microphone, and they're too far away from the subject and they're in a room that bounces, basically the audio goes all over the place. And the microphone basically is not close enough, to the source, and so it sounds like you're in the bathroom. If that's happening, it sounds like they're in a hollow cave, get an external mic. There's so much to digital video that we haven't covered, but you shouldn't be discouraged. This is a good starting point for you to dive in. My goal really is to get you motivated, to go for it. Once you're into the program and into the shooting and editing, you're going to spend nights, nights, and nights editing. Remember, it's an art form; it's not just fun, it's an art form, and that means you put a little time into it. But don't worry about it, at Expert Village we've got you covered, we've got all kinds, dive through the library, there's all kinds of videos on how to make professional looking videos and edit them that will help you tremendously. So if there's one thing I can tell you, keep practicing. And what's the worse that's going to happen; you have a digital video camera, tape it over again, and edit it over again. And guaranteed, within a short period of time these tips and tricks, will help you make a professional looking video. By the way if you need to get a hold of me, why not, PLI Studios@mac.com.
