Now we're ready to apply the foundation and powder. Normally, my rule of thumb for applying makeup is less is more, but for this, it's the opposite. You want to pile it on. That's this look. It's just a lot of makeup. It's not being afraid to really put on makeup. That's what's so endearing about Pam Anderson or the Playboy bunnies is that they're like I like makeup and I like it all over my face and I'm just going to go out and look like that. It's a cool look. It's definitely a distinctive look and I've worn in once or twice myself. You want to use any foundation that's suitable for your skin. Like I said, you can use anything that you've been using. There's no look to this, other than put it on. Make sure that your skin is completely blended and covered in a light to medium foundation. Unless you need a full coverage foundation, it's not necessary. Make sure you cover all your blemishes. You just want a really smooth pallet. You want to paint it on so that your skin is completely smooth and clear like a white piece of paper before a painter starts painting. A clear canvas. No imperfections. You basically don't want to see your skin underneath. You want to see the painted on fake skin that you've just put on. Really pile it on. Make sure you cover everything. Your eyelids, your lips. A really, really, white canvas. You look all pale, but we'll fix that. Then powder. Pile on the powder too. Buff it in. This will keep your foundation on. This will smooth the skin all over the place. Not too much around the eye area, because you never want to put too much powder around the eye area, but all over. You just want to cover the face and makeup. Don't forget the neck a little bit. Everything should look blended. It still shouldn't look cakey. It should look blended. Blend, blend, blend. Even though she has a lot of makeup on, it doesn't look cakey like a mask. Now that she's completely clear of all color in her skin, we can start with the makeup.
