Hi, this is Shanis Windland on behalf of Expert Village. In our video series on how to make your own baby food, today we are going to talk about how to make Zwieback toast for your baby, it's teething toast for your baby. Babies love this, they can hold it in their hands, they can chomp on it for hours. It's also really simple to make. So the first thing that we have to do is to preheat our oven. We preheat the oven to 250 degrees and then we start making our toast. I like to buy whole grain bread to make this toast; it makes it a little bit healthier for baby. This is a good shape for making Zwieback toast, because you can cut it into whatever size piece that you want to cut it into. So basically, all you have to do is cut the bread into about half inch slices, that are the width of the bread. You can see this is a pretty small piece of bread that is pretty easy for baby to hold, and to chomp on. So, we just cut this bread, and then just add these pieces to an unoiled baking sheet, then pop them into the oven for about an hour. they need to be really hot and they start to get toasty. They are supposed to be kind of toasty. So we just add that to the oven for about an hour. And we will check on that in a little bit. So, our Zwieback toast has been in the oven for a little less than an hour but I'm going to go ahead and check on it. The way to check is I just feel it and it is really nice and crunchy for baby. He's going to love chomping on this while he's teething. So we take it out of the oven, turn the oven off.
