Innovations in Cycling Clothing

JEFF COOK: Hello, and I'm Jeff Cook from All Season Sports, here today to talk to you about some of the latest and greatest and some of the coolest stuff for bikes on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we're going to talk about some clothing aspects of cycling. This can make a tremendous difference. If you know anybody that has a pair of cycling shorts, they'll tell you how good these work. We made a lot of advances in this clothing and really lead the way in the sports industry. With certain things now incorporated into them in compression material, laser cut for more comfort for us. It's also cut to the shape of your body when you are on the bike and moving. So, it really ends up acting similar to a second skin. In addition to that, it's also going to wick the moisture that your body produces as you sweat and pull it away from your body and get it to the outside of the fabric. This way, it's going to dry very quickly and be much more comfortable to ride. Obviously, one of major feature items in any short is the chamois. This is another area where we've made a lot of progress. Here, we have some of the modern high-end chamois is we have a multi-density chamois that is ergonomically cut either for male or female. This happens to be a male one. You'll notice the lack of seams where we're now laminating the chamois so that we no longer have to actually even stitch the chamois at all to it. This provides for not only more durability and strength, but a much more comfortable in those special sensitive areas. So, it makes for a very comfortable short. So if you're going to buy shorts, really look at this aspect and try them on. And remember, they're built for riding. So, don't just try them in the change room, ask to sit on bike.
