How to Choose Road Bike Pedals

JEFF COOK: Hello, and I'm Jeff Cook from All Season Sports, here today to talk to you about some of the latest and greatest and some of the coolest stuff for bikes on behalf of Expert Village. All right, it's Jeff here, talking about road bike pedals. If you do not use clipless pedals currently, this again can be one area that will help almost every aspect of your road riding, from cornering to hill climbing to descending. Remember, it's not just about the pedaling power; it's also about control of the bike and being connected to the bike. How we're doing that is we're mounting a cleat onto the shoe and that cleat interfaces with the pedal and clips in, similar to a binding on a ski. This also helps feature it because it really allows for a safety feature if you were to crash, you will come out of this pedal, so it works very well from that aspect as well. You can get pedals from several different companies but the oldest out there would be this manufacturer look. This is one of their feature new pedals called the KeO. Very lightweight, looks very well, adjustable tension to it, and makes for a great upgrade to the bike.
