Half Petal Folding the Diamond for an Origami Orchid

Now with our diamond shape flat that we just created, we're going to do a petal fold on it, but it's going to be a half petal fold. What we've got here is we've got our diamond shape here. What we're going to do is we're going to take our diamond and we're just going to flip it over like that. Here you can see it's kind of cut off. What we're going to do is we're going to just go ahead and do a petal fold anyway. This is not going to line up just correctly, but it doesn't matter because it's the shape that we're forming it to is what it matters. As we pull it up like that, it's going to form that shape like that. What I'm going to do with is I'm just going to roll it back over and do the same thing over here. Fold this to the side and flip it up. Basically, as you flip it up, it's going to go ahead and conform on its own anyway. We open it up and there we go. There's our diamond shape. What we're going to do is we're going to pull. Actually, we'll just wait and just leave it like that. That's our diamond shape.
