Tuning a Bass (Electronic)
Hi, my name is Dalton and we’re gonna be tuning a bass today. We’re gonna start with the lowest string, called the E string. First we hit it to see where it’s at on our tuner. And we can see that the light is to the left of the green so it’s flat. So we need to move it up a little bit. And right here if you mute the 12th fret, and hit the string, it also shows you where you’re at. What we want is for the green indicator to come on like so. The next string is the A string. Hit it and see where you are. The next string is your D string. It’s a little sharp so we’re going to take it back. You might go sharp to flat, sharp to flat, but don’t get mad just keep on going. What you want is for the green light to come on and not any of the red on either side. The next string is your G string. It’s a little flat. We want to get the red light to move over to the green. And there we go, a perfectly tuned bass.
