Improving Posture for Biking

Hi! I am Angela on behalf of expertvillage.com and right now I will be discussing posture specifically a posture for regular street bike. For other bikes, posture is different because of the position of the bike and the frame, but this bike is very common in towns and in cities. For this specific bike, since the handle bars are relatively close, I can have fairly straight posture. It is very important that I keep my back straight and looking forward. A lot of people have a tendency to slouch if they have a backpack on too. For some reason they think they get there faster, but it is very important to have a proper posture, and it also gives more power to the legs so that you can pedal faster, and you will actually get more exercise out of it as well. If in a case you are in hurry and you need to pedal very quickly, also another thing that people do is they lunge really far forward and they pedal as fast as they can. This is very, very bad for the back and you will feel strained extremely, so what you want to do is instead of doing that, stand up on your bike and pedal while standing and keep note of your posture that your back is straight, and this will prevent strain also help you get to your place faster. And that is the proper posture for a regular street bike.
